I just wanted to get my opinion out here about this whole thing going on with Facebook deleting personal accounts with the title "Cosplay" in them. A lot of people are getting pent up about it, but in my honest opinion, I think it's better this way. This is why they allow us to make Fan pages!

Pros of a Fan page:
- You can manage it right from your personal account, and you can have as many as you want.
- Nothing stops you from 'friending' the people who like your page, however it gives you the option to also keep your personal account more private.
- You can still interact with people that like your page, and if you friend them, they can tag your page in photos, etc.
- Prevents the risk of stalkers! Yay!
- Facebook does also now allow you to display a nickname next to your actual name.
- No logging in and out all the time!

Easy peasy!!

On top of this, if our cosplay alias is supposed to be an extension of ourselves, why go for a totally separate account? So please guys, seriously, stop making the world think we all have an identity crisis.

Sincerely,

Krystal <3

I have to agree as well... I'm sad though for everyone whos account got deleted, I know how upset they must be. :( ...But unfortunally, it is against the rules to do that, FB requires that we ALL use our real names. :( (like a phone book, family tree or whatever) XD Sadly rules are rules, and when we ALL first sign up to Facebook, we are agreeing to the Terms of Use that we have read the rules, and that we accept it. ...Thus, anyone who breaks those rules, FB has every right to take action - even without warning. They don't even HAVE to give a warning, because well, we should know.. we all read the Terms of Use that we all agreed for! XD That's why all these websites have all that massive reading stuff for you to do when you first sign up lol. So there is absolutely no reason to even argue with FB about this... It's a bitter pill to swallow, some are handling it well, others... not so much. ^^;

As for fanpages.. Ugh... I don't hate them, and I gladly like all of my friends and local cosplayers pages for them to show my support, but when it comes to me making one... ...I dunno, I guess I just don't like the word 'Liliana's fan page' IT'S SO NOT ME. XD Makes it sound like I am trying to be someone important, when really, I'm just a newly 3 year old cosplayer, who plays the violin. 8P ..Not that important at all lol. Though what you listed there.. makes me rethink about it a little bit more. ;o
